‘We are with you’ – Conor McGregor turns cheerleader as he makes plea to fans over Love Island star

Conor McGregor has urged his 47.6 million Instagram followers to get behind reality TV star Grace Jackson.

The model from Manchester is currently in the Love Island villa where a group of young singletons are taking part in the popular ITV show, with Jackson among those who need votes from the public to keep her there and in with the chance to win the £50k jackpot.

On Wednesday morning, McGregor took to social media to support Grace and urge his fans to vote for her.

He captioned a video of the blonde bombshell: “Vote for our Grace tonight on Love Island! We are with you, Grace!”

The UFC superstar’s post may have seemed out of the blue to some, but eagle-eyed fans will have noticed that the Love Island contestant used to work for McGregor.

The 25-year-old helped ‘Notorious’ promote one of his alcohol companies.

Along with a group of other women, who dressed Forged Irish Stout ring girls, she would turn up at boxing events and flog the beverage McGregor hopes will rival Guinness one day.

‘Notorious’ followed up his supportive post by sharing photos of Grace on duty in Forged Irish Stout branded gear.

Until recently, boxer Ebanie Bridges was McGregor’s most famous ring girl.

The former IBF bantamweight champion pulled pints while wearing Forged Irish Stout merchandise during Anthony Joshua’s fight with Robert Helenius last August.

The pair have been good friends ever since and Bridges has vehemently defended their relationship from ‘haters’ who question it.

The ‘Blonde Bomber’ will surely be cheering McGregor on when he finally makes his UFC return.

The 35-year-old has been out of action since breaking his leg three years ago.

A comeback bout against Michael Chandler was booked for UFC 303 on June 29, but the Irishman was forced to withdraw after fracturing his pinky toe in training.

It’s hoped a new date for McGregor vs Chandler will be confirmed soon.
