‘Mentally weak’ – Sean O’Malley erupts on Conor McGregor for cheeky deleted social media post

UFC stars Sean O’Malley and Conor McGregor have restarted their feud.

Until recently, ‘Suga’ was a McGregor mega-fan, but he got caught in the Irishman’s cross hairs when he angrily reacted to boxing superstar Ryan Garcia failing two drug tests.

Garcia tested positive for Ostraine before beating Devin Haney in April.

The 25-year-old has since been hit with a one-year ban, which is double the amount of time O’Malley was sidelined for after testing positive for the same drug in 2019.

McGregor initially backtracked on his comments but now he’s irked O’Malley again by sharing a clip from his podcast alongside a crying laughing emoji.

In the original post, O’Malley discussed a recent study sent to him by UFC drug-testing chief Jeff Novitzky that suggests ostarine can be transferred through sweat.

The UFC bantamweight champion wondered aloud if that’s how it came to be in his system when he failed two drug tests.

McGregor quickly deleted his X post but not before O’Malley saw it.

He replied: “Miss the old Conor 🙁 you fell off bud.”

“Still a fan tho. I actually don’t care you are 1-4 in your last 5 I’m stills excited to watch. Hope the toe is feeling better.”

O’Malley pointed out the former dual-weight UFC champion’s athletic and personal flaws.

The 29-year-old insisted McGregor is not an all-time great fighter before making baseless claims about the UFC legend being a ‘drug addict’.

“Conor isn’t in anyone GOAT talk,” O’Malley added.

“Entertainment yes but skills, no. Has a really good left hand. S*** Cardio. Weak Jits. Decently athletic. Mentally weak. Drug addict, needs rehab. 1-4 last 5 fights. Still fan tho. Hope toe heals up.”

McGregor is expected to end his three-year injury layoff later this year.

The 36-year-old was supposed to face Michael Chandler last month, but their UFC 303 main event bout was called off when McGregor broke his toe in training.

It’s rumoured that UFC 310 on December 14 will host McGregor vs Chandler – but Dana White is yet to confirm a new date for his biggest star’s return to MMA.

O’Malley is in a similar spot as his next opponent is set, even though he doesn’t have a fight date.

Streaking 135lb contender Merab Dvalishvili will get his long overdue shot at UFC gold in 2024, but exactly when that will happen remains a mystery.
