Max Verstappen recreates hilarious Toto Wolff-Christian Horner exchange on sim racing session

Max Verstappen and Team Redline recreated the hilarious verbal exchange between Christian Horner and Toto Wolff from Drive to Survive season five. The Red Bull driver and his team Redline members mocked Horner’s “change your f***ing car” remark towards Wolff from the 2022 F1 season.

Verstappen was streaming with his Redline teammates on their Twitch channel recently. While he was playing, the Dutchman shouted at the top of his voice, and it shunted his headset. Reacting to this, the Dutch driver screamed:

“My headset is f***ed”

To which Luke Crane, his Redline Twitch partner said:

“Change your f***ing headset!”

In response to this, Verstappen said:

“Even Checo is saying.”

Notably, this was almost identical to Horner’s comments towards Wolff on porpoising. As part the 2022 F1 regulations, Mercedes found themselves in enormous trouble due to porpoising.

As they took the matter to the FIA, Horner and Wolff got into a verbal scuffle. Wolff said:

“I can tell you that all of you are playing a dangerous game. If a car ends the wall because it is too stiff or it is bottoming out, you are in the s**t and I’m gonna come after you.”

To which the Red Bull boss had an answer:

“Are we playing to the cameras here? I think this is probably better off camera.”

As their verbal scuffle intensified, Wolff then replied:

“I don’t care. If you think this is a little game on performance, I’ll tell you, you are very, very wrong.”

This was when the Red Bull boss had a message for his Mercedes counterpart. Horner stated:

“Change your car. You’ve got a problem, change your f***ing car.”

Numerous memes and posts surfaced online on this particular incident. In a nutshell, this was an iconic exchange between the two F1 team bosses.

Max Verstappen and team Redline also hurled a jab at George Russell during the stream, joking about the Mercedes driver’s misfortune at the Belgian GP. As they were streaming, Verstappen was seen eating a lot of chocolates.

However, he soon realized that the chocolates were bad for his health. But he said he could keep indulging in them as F1 is currently in the middle of its summer break. Pointing at Max Verstappen, his eSports teammate Gianni Vecchio directed a humorous jab.

“There is no minimum weight, right George Russell?” Vecchio chuckled.

The FIA disqualified George Russell after they found his W15 to be underweight by 1.5 kilograms. As a result, they stripped him of his Belgian GP race win and handed it to Lewis Hamilton. Oscar Piastri and Charles Leclerc improved to P2 and P3, respectively.
