A rustic Napa Valley estate is asking approximately $22 million from Ryan Seacrest.

Ryan Seacrest, the television celebrity, is asking $22 million for his Napa Valley mansion.

According to records, the presenter of “American Idol” paid $14 million for the approximately 40-acre property in September 2020. Silvia Nobili of Nobili Marqués Arquitectura, the project’s architectural designer, claims that he finished a substantial makeover early this year.

Situated in St. Helena, California, approximately 70 miles north of San Francisco, the estate boasts expansive views of the neighboring vineyards and mountains. A unique gated entryway leads to the approximately 8,650-square-foot main house with a wine cellar, guest cottage, and pool house.

Seacrest, 49, is known for hosting television shows such as “ Idol” and “Wheel of Fortune.” A spokeswoman for Seacrest declined to comment on the listing or on why he is selling the property.

In 2021, Seacrest told the Journal that he was taking steps to relax amid his hectic work schedule, including planting olive trees at his Napa Valley property with plans to press his own olive oil and make wine.

Seacrest, who grew up in Dunwoody, Ga., has lived in New York and Los Angeles. He sold a home in Beverly Hills, Calif., for $51 million in 2022.

The St. Helena estate was originally built in 2004, according to listing agency Coldwell Banker Realty. The three-bedroom main house has a rustic feel, with reclaimed wood beams, antique French limestone and wide-plank oak floors. Pocket doors from the main living room lead to a terrace with views over Napa Valley. The living room has a vaulted wood ceiling, a large stone fireplace and a 1980s brass-and-leather bar from Italy. The wine cellar, which was upgraded during the recent remodel, leads onto a terrace.

The grounds have a bocce court and an infinity-edge pool, surrounded by mature trees and native plants.

A new guest suite was built and the main bedroom was enlarged during the renovation. On the living room patio, an elaborate iron railing was swapped out for glass to enhance the views, according to Nobili.

Cyd Greer of Coldwell Banker Brokers of the Valley is the agent listing the property.

St. Helena, a roughly 4-square-mile city in the heart of the Napa Valley, has long drawn celebrities and top Silicon Valley executives. It is known locally for its vineyards, which grow premium grapes, and wineries that produce some of the best vintages in the world. In May, the median price for a St. Helena home was $1.9 million, up 24.8% from May 2023, according to brokerage Redfin.

The record price for a home in the Napa Valley is around $34 million, set in 2022 by the sale of a nearby estate known as Seven Stones, although that property also included a winery, according to Coldwell Banker.
