A resilient Randy Orton defeated Ludwig Kaiser during WWE RAW (August 19, 2024) before facing Gunther for the World Heavyweight Title in Germany.
Randy Orton began his preparation for Bash In Berlin by facing Ludwig Kaiser one-on-one during WWE RAW (August 19, 2024).
«The Viper» showed up on the red brand to continue his rivalry with Gunther, as things got personal between the two after a confrontation they had a week ago. «The General of the Ring» took out some of his fury by setting a trap for his challenger, as Ludwig Kaiser served as a surprise element against the 14-time World Champion and therefore, a match between the two was scheduled.

The referee takes over to start the action. Randy Orton attacks his rival to knock him down with a tackle and continues to receive the applause of the public. Ludwig Kaiser tries to impose conditions based on physical force, but Orton imposes conditions once again. The German has to resort to a trick to be able to hit Randy, but this only makes him angry and sends him flying with an “Overhead Slam”. Orton wipes the blow off his chest and corners Kaiser in the corner to connect a series of blows that are cheered by the public and that end with a “European Uppercut” to get him out of the ring.
Kaiser takes the opportunity to surprise Randy Orton when he leaves the ring and hits him again with a “Chop”. Randy responds with the same dose, but increased to the tenth power to knock down the German. Gunther appears! Orton is distracted by the presence of the World Champion, which Kaiser takes advantage of to attack Orton with a “Chop Block” on the left leg. Ludwig sends Randy back against the commentary table, stealing a page from his book, and then gains momentum to attack his leg against the steel steps. Thanks to Gunther’s presence, Ludwig Kaiser is in control on WWE RAW ( August 19, 2024 ).
The German returns to the ring to continue damaging Orton’s left leg. Orton desperately tries to get his opponent off of him, but Ludwig is quite fresh and returns to continue doing damage. Kaiser gains too much momentum on the ropes in his eagerness to continue attacking and sends him out of the ring. Randy recovers as best he can, but is sent against the steel steps on his return to ringside. Kaiser wants to repeat the dose when he gains momentum, but Orton knocks him down with a brutal “Clothesline”. Randy retaliates and sends Ludwig back against the commentary table. Orton turns to see Gunther and punishes Kaiser once again. Third impact of Orton on Kaiser against the commentary table! Fourth time! Randy Orton has no mercy on Ludwig and destroys his back against a commentary table that does not give way.
Back in the ring, Randy Orton avoids Kaiser’s reaction by attacking with a “Powerslam.” Ludwig avoids a classic Randy move by reacting with an “Enzuigiri.” Gunther was starting to worry as his partner had lost control. Kaiser climbs into the corner, but is stopped by Orton. “Superplex” by Orton on Kaiser; “The Viper” performs the move despite the pain in his back! “Elevated DDT” by Orton on Kaiser! Orton announces the end, but is surprised with a “Roll-Up”; he counts to two. “RKO Outta Nowhere” by Randy Orton on Ludwig Kaiser!
