Directing duo The Russo Brothers recently revealed that there is just one castmember who actually read the whole script during an interview with Rotten Tomatoes last week.
It turns out the Robert Downey, Jr. was ‘probably the only one’ in the cast trusted enough ‘to actually read the entire script.’
The brothers went on to admit that Benedict Cumberbatch received a version of the script with just his scenes while also saying it’s possible that Chris Evans could have read through.

And while the man behind Tony Stark was the only one who got the unabridged script, loose-lipped stars like Tom Holland weren’t even given their own copies.
Instead, the Spider-Man actor was only given his own lines.
Explaining their reasoning, the Russos said: ‘Part of our motivation to do that is it just takes a lot of pressure off of people because it is hard to constantly censor yourself about what you’re saying, how you talk.
‘These movies are your whole life. It’s everything you’re doing all day long. The inclination is to talk about it. So, we take a lot of pressure off of people by just saying: “OK, the less you know, the less you have to mind yourself.”‘
And while Holland was only given a skeleton of the story, Ruffalo actually received a ‘dummy’ script with fake scenes written into it.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the Avengers: Endgame world premiere in Los Angeles on Monday he said: ‘I got a script, but it was a dummy. There were scenes in there that I thought we were shooting that nobody ever shot.’
