Nick and Vanessa Lachey sell their Hawaii mansion for $9.45 million, moving to California following the cancellation of the actress’s “NCIS” series.

Nick and Vanessa Lachey have bid farewell to Hawaii and their magnificent Honolulu residence, selling it for an astounding $9.45 million.

The pair moved to the island paradise in 2021 when Vanessa was cast in “NCIS: Hawaii,” and they originally bought the house in May 2022.

However, Nick, 50, and Vanessa, 43, who have three children together, decided to permanently leave Hawaii and go back to California after the show was canceled after just three seasons.

The home, which is located in the Kahala region of the city, was originally advertised for an astounding $9.75 million earlier in the summer, but it was later sold for a $300,000 reduction.

The “Love is Blind” hosts came out ahead even though they turned down a lower offer because they had only paid $8,795,000 for the house two years prior. They exchanged their Encino, California home for a chance to live on the islands that year. They’ve now turned around and are heading back to the San Fernando Valley.

Bittersweet goodbye

In July, the Lacheys reportedly picked up a farmhouse-style home in Encino for $6,795,000; however, the departure from Hawaii seems to be bittersweet for the popular couple.

Vanessa posted on Instagram, “A Hui Hou” (Hawaiian for goodbye): “Home is where the heart is… Hawai’i, you will always have my heart! Mahalo Nui Loa for 3 beautiful, magical years you gave me and my family! Now, on to the next adventure. Off into the sunset we go! #LacheyPartyOf5 #AlohaSpirit”

While in Hawaii, the family took advantage of island living, making sure to get in lots of time with their three children.

Last year, she posted a photo with her kids with the caption, “I can’t believe we get to live here. Thank You, Hawai’i for Loving us back!”

Vanessa shared scenes of family fun during Halloween last year, when the group dressed up in “NCIS” costumes.

Luxury in Hawaii

The Lacheys leave behind great memories and a luxurious home.

Built in 2017, the mansion spans 7,732 square feet. Highlights include an open layout, indoor-outdoor island living, and large living spaces that can handle a crowd or an intimate gathering.

The kitchen is top of the line, with European-style cabinetry; a fancy, quartzite backlit island; and counter seating. The adjacent dining area also comes with built-ins. And the ground-floor primary suite is a sweet retreat with a spa bath that overlooks the garden and pool.

In addition, there’s a ground-floor guest suite and a sizable home office that once featured Lachey memorabilia on the walls.

The listing notes that the move-in ready home is “across from the beach” and minutes to the Kahala Hotel, Waialae Golf Course, restaurants, and shopping.

Hello, Encino

Now back in SoCal, the couple have plenty of other pursuits to focus on.

While Nick, 50, rose to fame as the lead singer of the boy band 98 Degrees, he and Vanessa have shot to newfound fame while co-hosting the hit Netflix relationship reality series “Love Is Blind” and “The Ultimatum.”

Before making a move into reality TV romance shows, Vanessa was a correspondent and host for “Entertainment Tonight.”

She met Nick in 2006 while starring in one of his music videos, and the pair went on to wed in a stunning ceremony held on Richard Branson‘s private Necker Island in 2011.
