TikTok celebrities Lucky and Nara Smith say they’re leaving Texas and starting a lavish house hunt

Less than a year after moving into a gorgeous new rental house in Dallas, TikTok celebrities Lucky and Nara Smith have revealed that they are leaving Texas and intend to settle down in a new home in Connecticut in an effort to enjoy a more “quiet” existence.

The married pair posted the news on Nara’s TikTok, where they discussed their quest for the ideal East Coast house. The couple has three children: Rumble Honey, age three; Slim Easy, age two; and newborn Whimsy Lou.

Model and lifestyle expert Nara, 22, announced, in her characteristically soft voice-over, “We’re moving again.” “We took a plane to Connecticut and spent the next three days looking for a place to live.

Texas was enjoyable, but it’s not where we want to live in the long run. We would want a more leisurely pace of life, greater space, quieter surroundings, the ability to raise poultry, and the ability to begin gardening.

But, Nara said that Connecticut’s closeness to New York will make it easier for the two to go to Europe, where her parents reside, and allow them to visit the city more easily for work.

“But also being closer to a bigger city for all the work that we do and also being closer to Europe because my parents live out there,” she added.

The influencer, who rose to fame while sharing her “from scratch” recipe videos in which she puts a DIY spin on much-loved snacks like Cheetos and Jolly Rancher candies, explained that she and Lucky, 26, had already looked at six houses thus far—and had already picked out a “favorite.”

Sharing footage from inside a few of the homes they toured, Nara explained what they are looking for, as well as the things that have turned them off some of the stunning houses they’ve seen.

“This one wasn’t [our favorite],” she said while sharing clips from inside the first home. “Even though Lucky loved all the frogs that were on the property [and] even though the view was stunning, this felt more like a vacation rental to us.”

The home in question featured a stunning kitchen with a large stove and white marble countertops, as well as a dining area with a large red-brick fireplace.

A spacious and aesthetically pleasing kitchen is no doubt a “must-have” for Nara, who regularly films herself cooking up all manner of incredible dishes inside the couple’s Texas home.

Since her first video rocketed to viral fame in 2023, the model has amassed an awe-inspiring 9.4 million followers. Her videos regularly top 11 million views, with her kitchen taking center stage in almost every single clip.

In addition to a fireplace in the kitchen, the primary bedroom in the first home also boasts its own fireplace, as well as a small balcony that overlooks the property’s stunning surroundings.

A gated driveway ensures maximum privacy, while the lush grounds provide the perfect spot for Lucky and Nara’s future chickens.

Moving on to home No. 2, Nara admitted that the pair weren’t looking for a property that was already “perfect” to them. The “picky” duo knew that they will likely renovate any house that they end up purchasing, she explained.

“Since we’re so picky with our houses, we knew we were going to buy a house that we’d have to renovate anyways,” she said. “So we’re looking for a good layout but also just that feeling of knowing that this is our home.”

The second property ticked a number of boxes for Nara and Lucky, largely because of its incredible indoor pool, as well as the ample backyard, and stunning exposed beams.

However, there was one major issue that prevented them from pulling the trigger: the low ceilings.

“This house was so cute, I absolutely loved the indoor pool,” Nara shared. “There was plenty of space to garden in the back and put in a basketball court, since that’s one of Lucky’s priorities.

“I love a historical home, [but] even though I adored this home, we were just too tall to make this work,” she added.

In a recent interview with GQ, Nara and Lucky first voiced their plans to leave Dallas, explaining that the lease on their family home—which they moved to in November 2023—is up at the end of 2024, providing them with the perfect opportunity to relocate.

“We want a backyard, and I want to start gardening and planting my own stuff,” Nara said at the time.

Although Nara did not reveal exactly what area of Connecticut they are targeting in their property search, she did reveal that they spent some time with fellow TikTok star and Southport, CT, resident Paige Lorenze during their visit to the state.
