LA Knight comes to the ring to talk about his reign so far, but is interrupted by Carmelo Hayes . Melo says he’s been carrying SmackDown the past few weeks and brags about his two wins over Andrade, something that should make him the next challenger for the United States Title. Knight hasn’t been concerned with matches, he’s only been concerned with winning, and that’s why he’s here as champion. Andrade comes out to join the discussion.

“Easy there kid. I know you beat me, twice. But remember, I beat you twice too ,” Andrade says. “El Idolo” asks Melo if he thinks he deserves a shot at the United States Championship because he’s the one who actually deserves it. LA Knight doesn’t want to get involved in this argument, so Andrade ends up confronting him, saying that he’s not a good champion. Knight doesn’t understand what the Mexican is saying because he spoke in Spanish, and subsequently, he pushes the champion. Andrade causes a riot in the ring, but ends up being the victim of a “BFT.” Melo gloats at seeing Andrade down, but also receives a “BFT.” LA Knight walks away on his feet.
