She’s never been afraid to voice her political beliefs.
And now Scarlett Johansson has revealed she hasn’t ruled out making a move from the acting industry to the political one.
The 28-year-old actress, who was a vocal supporter of Barack Obama during his US presidential re-election campaign, has refused to rule out an expanded role in the political world.
Career move: Scarlett Johansson has revealed she wouldn’t rule out a move into politics
Speaking to the October issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine, Scarlett said: ‘Do I imagine myself having a full-on political career? That seems like a stretch. But who knows?
‘I don’t limit the possibilities. If I have more time, I may be able to lend a bigger voice to politics. I never close the door on those kinds of things.’
However, a career move into politics wouldn’t be a huge surprise from the actress, as she added that her family taught her the importance of being ‘politically active’.

She said: ‘I come from a politically active family. To be an active member of the community, to be a responsible citizen and to engage politically have always been part of my awareness and part of my life.
‘More than anything else, I believe that if everyone exercised the right to vote, the right choice would be made by the nation as a whole.’
Scarlett made the comments as she posed for a stunning new shoot in the publication.
While one black and white shot shows her looking sophisticated and ladylike in a plaid dress and matching cape, another shows her smouldering for the camera with a slick of red lipstick highlighting her famous pout.
Meanwhile, Scarlett is currently in Venice, Italy, where she is attending the annual Film Festival.
The stunning blonde was seen wearing a striped top and high-waisted black trousers as she carefully made her way onto a boat in the Italian city.
Scarlett is at the festival to promote her new movie Under The Skin, in which she stars as an alien who abducts male hitchhikers and then sends them to a corporation who sells human flesh.

Speaking to Variety recently about the movie, Scarlett said: ‘It’s so weird, I’ve never been in a movie where the logline of the movie, where the plot has been so twisted. It’s crazy. “Are you eating people on the side of the road?” I’m like, “No, no!”.’
Then asked to explain the film’s plot, Scarlett added: ‘OK, yes I do play an alien who is wearing my own skin.
‘But it’s actually not a science-fiction film; it’s sort of a film that asks existential questions and much more complex than the logline.’
