Manchester United Eye Leny Yoro’s Comeback as Return Date ‘Set’ Amid Injury Updates!

Leny Yoro could be back at Old Trafford over the coming months

Leny Yoro started walking without crutches again earlier this month and is now claimed to have a date in mind for his Manchester United debut.

Yoro, who will turn 19 in mid-November, fractured the fifth metatarsal on his left foot during the club’s pre-season friendly against Arsenal. It was only the defender’s second outing since signing from Lille for an initial £52million transfer fee and he is yet to make a competitive appearance for the club.

According to the Athletic, a possible metatarsal issue was highlighted by scans while the player was undergoing his medical, but that did not dissuade the club from doing a deal. Yoro subsequently had surgery at the beginning of August.

After stepping up that rehabilitation earlier this month following work in the gym at Carrington with the club’s physio team, talk has reportedly turned to return dates. November was initially earmarked, but GIVEMESPORT now claims that United’s midweek match away against the Gunners on 3 December is his target.

Friends and teammates have reportedly been told about his desperation to be involved in that match. Injury expert and Online Slots Real Money ambassador Ben Dinnery told MEN Sport in late August that Yoro would at least be out until November.

“It is difficult to put a concrete return date in because obviously they do vary depending on the individual and, of course, other factors,” Dinnery said“Typically we are looking in the region of about 80-90 days to return to playing.

“That could potentially be expedited, we have had players return within that 80-day period but it has on occasions extended way beyond that. That comes down to the type of surgery but historically it has always been around those timeframes.

“As we have seen with some players in the past, players sometimes thrust interaction back onto the pitch earlier than they would have liked. But it will certainly be in the realms of that three-month period.”
