KD is not pleased with the disarray that Woj’s most recent report has caused

Kevin Durant has taken issue with the fallout that followed a report from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Earlier this week, Wojnarowski appeared on NBA Countdown and reported that people within the Phoenix Suns organisation could feel Kevin Durant’s frustration with the team.

Woj said Durant’s frustration stemmed from Bradley Beal’s inability to stay healthy and the team’s underwhelming supporting cast.

Durant has since weighed in, making it clear he wasn’t exactly thrilled with how the story took on a life of its own.

“Woj says somebody else ‘feels’ that I’m frustrated and it turned into me being mentally checked out,” Durant said in response to a fan on Instagram. “This shit crazy, these people can flat out lie on my name and make shit up and you people will believe it but when my teammates n coaches speak on how I am as a teammate, u ignore it lol.”

It’s hard to be sure whether Durant is also annoyed with the original report, but he’s clearly unhappy with the way it’s supposedly been spun into something bigger by others.

It must be said that Durant didn’t look at his most engaged during his 16-point performance against Dallas on Christmas Day, but statistically he’s still been exceptional this season overall, with averages of 30.3 points, 6.2 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game.

That’s the second-highest scoring mark of Durant’s career and his highest-scoring season since his 2013-14 season with the Thunder a decade ago.

And yet, something isn’t right in Phoenix. The players have made that much painfully clear with their terrible body language and chirping amongst each other.

All signs suggest things are far from harmonious with the Suns, and that they have a lot to figure out before being in a position to compete for a championship.
