Power Couple Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen List Boston Mansion for $39.5 Million

Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady have put their custom-built—and supremely private—family home in Greater Boston up for sale, asking $39.5 million.

Los Angeles-based architect Richard Landry—whose laundry list of celebrity clients range from Wayne Gretzky to Kenny G—designed the nearly 10,000-square-foot traditional-style brick mansion in Brookline, Massachusetts, which hit the market on Tuesday, according to the listing with agent Beth Dickerson of Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty.

Publicists for the power couple did not immediately return requests for comment, but the sale reportedly comes as the family looks to move closer to New York City in preparation for the NFL quarterback’s post-football career, according to the New York Post, which first spotted the listing. Mr. Brady recently signed a two-year contract with the New England Patriots and said he plans to play until he’s 45.

The couple picked up the secluded slice of Boston real estate in 2013, when they bought a chunk of land from Pine Manor College for $4.5 million, according to county property records.

They purchased the property through a limited liability company tied to Mr. Brady’s business manager. And while neither spouse is named directly in property records, pictures of their young children around the home feature prominently on both of their social media accounts.

The location, over five acres wedged between the private liberal arts college and a local country club, has provided Mr. Brady, 42, and Ms. Bündchen, 39, with an unusual amount of privacy for their family—especially considering it’s only five miles from Boston’s trendy Back Bay.

Meanwhile, the main house, completed in 2015, boasts warm, modern interiors that feature rustic details like painted brick and vaulted ceilings with exposed wood beams. In total, the two-story home includes five bedrooms and more than five-and-a-half bathrooms, according to the listing.

Numerous leaded windows and a skylight over the kitchen’s informal dining area flood the main living spaces on the first floor with light. The lower level includes a children’s playroom, a wine cellar, a gym and a spa.

The grounds also encompass a pool, vegetable garden and an additional 2,400-square-foot barn, which serves as a detached guest house, according to the listing. The listing agency did not return a request for comment.
