Steve Kerr Makes Honest Admission On Steph Curry’s Struggles

So far this season, the Golden State Warriors have been struggling like they haven’t struggled in many years.

Draymond Green has been suspended twice already for violent antics, Klay Thompson is a shell of his former self, and former All-Star Andrew Wiggins isn’t playing well.

Steph Curry has been the one constant all season long for the Warriors, but now his production is starting to trail off, as he has had some bad shooting games over the past couple of weeks.

Head coach Steve Kerr defended Curry’s play, saying that the two-time MVP has been carrying a huge load in terms of leading the franchise for so long, per 95.7 The Game on Twitter.

Overall, Curry is averaging 27.1 points a game, but his assists average is down to 4.6 per game and his shooting percentage has fallen to 45.0.

With a 17-19 record, which puts them in 12th place in the Western Conference, the Warriors need Curry to stabilize them, but like any other superstar, he needs support, and at age 35, his energy is finite.

But they may be getting some help, as Green has reportedly been reinstated by the NBA after his most recent suspension, which was deemed an indefinite one.

In a vacuum, Green’s numbers may be unimpressive, but his impact on the team has always been anything but unimpressive, as he has always been its Swiss Army knife and its emotional leader.

Golden State has dealt with and overcome adversity before, but this time, they may be completely overmatched by their circumstances.

It looks like age has caught up with their old guard, and it may only be downhill from here.
