Princess Kate and Prince William may never forgive Prince Harry for the pain he has caused the family, a royal expert has claimed.

Since quitting the Royal Family in 2020 with his wife Meghan Markle, the duke has gone on to hurl a number of accusations against the family and has even spoken openly about personal matters.

This started with the bombshell Oprah Winfrey interview in 2021, followed by the Netflix 2022 docuseries Harry and Meghan.

The prince, 40, then published his own memoir Spare, which is believed to have been the final straw for Prince William when it comes to having a relationship with his brother.

According to Charles Rae, renowned former Royal correspondent, the pain Harry has caused may mean that forgiveness is not on the cards for Prince William and Kate, who are protective over their family and royal duties.

Speaking on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show, Charles said: “Well, I think it is down to the Duke and Duchess of Sus𝑠e𝑥 to make the first move.

“Whether or not it would be accepted by William and Catherine, I doubt very much it would be. There’s too much water which has gone under that bridge.

“After everything Harry and Meghan have done with the Oprah Winfrey interview, that Netflix show… Spare. The flamboyant curtsey by Meghan on the show as well.

“There’s too much gone under the bridge now. If they’re going to make the move, I am not so sure William and Catherine would respond favourably.”

William, 42, is believed to no longer be on speaking terms with Harry, despite sending him a public birthday greeting last month.

This comes after the news that Harry is still believed to be on speaking terms with King Charles, with the duke even flying across the pond to see his dad after his cancer diagnosis.

The ex-butler of King Charles, Grant Harrold, also exclusively told Express.co.uk that he believes the King would welcome Harry back with “open arms” if he wanted to return to the Royal Family.

He said: “I’m sure his father would probably love to welcome him back with open arms, they’ve just got to be sure that what’s happened in the past few years is not going to happen again.”
