With an upcoming royal tour and hectic schedule, King Charles is not going to “concern himself” with Prince Harry’s reported new home purchase, claims royal expert.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have reportedly purchased a home in Portugal and news of the couple’s European home comes just a year and a half after they were evicted from their Windsor-based property, Frogmore Cottage.

Royal expert, Hugo Vickers, told the Sun: “The King’s got a lot of things to get on with. Apart from getting well, he’s got his big tour to Australia.”

He added: “He’s got all the things that kings have to do, and I suspect the message we’re getting is that Harry just needs to sort himself out.”

He also explained the King is “not going to waste much time concerning himself with his issues”, but he was left the door “wide open” if Harry wanted to return into the royal fold.

King Charles and Queen Camilla touched down on Friday evening in Sydney to begin their busy six-day royal tour. The couple landed at 8.30pm local time (10.30am UK) on an Australian government plane, which they boarded in Singapore after they flew there commercially.

While some royal fans may be raising their eyebrows at Harry’s home purchase, others are hoping it could be the start of the couple’s gradual return to the UK, having quit royal duties in 2020.

The royal expert also claimed there were two other reasons Harry might have purchased a new home in the European country.

The first is to be close to Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, who have a holiday home in Portugal. Hugo explained: “They get on very well together. They seem to be the main members of the family who are still very much in touch with Prince Harry.”

The other “fear”, the expert claims, is if Donald Trump gets elected as US President in the upcoming presidential election. Speaking of Trump, he said: “He has been irritated, I think, in the past by things that Meghan Markle has said about him, and probably Prince Harry as well.”

He further said: “He would be completely in his rights to do that, and so they might be looking for an alternative residence.”

The Sus𝑠e𝑥es currently live in a £11 million mega-mansion in Montecito, California, on an 18,000-square-foot property surrounded by trees and greenery.

The lavish home features nine bedrooms and 16 bathrooms, all imbued with a combination of modern and Victorian architectural elements for Harry, Meghan, and their two children, Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three.

Fans have seen a handful of sneaky peaks at the interior of the couples’ luxury abode in home videos and photos they shared in their self-titled Netflix documentary.

Outside of the home, the expansive property is surrounded by a pool, tennis court, tea house, rose garden, olive trees, a guest house, where Meghan’s mum Doria Ragland reportedly lives.
