Conor McGregor drops biggest retirement hint yet after being told to NEVER fight again as UFC star suffers horror injury

CONOR McGREGOR has dropped his biggest retirement hint yet after being urged NEVER to fight again.

The UFC legend is over three years out of the octagon having not yet returned since July 2021 when he broke his leg in the cage.

His comeback bout set for June 29 against Michael Chandler was axed after McGregor suffered a toe injury in training.

McGregor has since called on several occasions to reschedule his return – but he remains at loggerheads with the UFC.

At UFC 308, former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker suffered a horror broken jaw at the hands of Khamzat Chimaev.

And one fan told McGregor: “No reason to come back to UFC or fighting in general, you have beautiful family, worth half a billion, businesses, as being a successful business man.

“You made your dreams come true, becoming UFC double champ.

“Don’t risk your health or well being, you have got nothing to prove to anyone champ, continue to live life with happiness.”

McGregor, 36, responded: “Ya know what, you’re right, good bye.”

The Irishman has a history of short-lived retirements but he did follow up the message with a picture of himself in training.

And he captioned it: “Health is wealth, take it serious!”

Despite McGregor’s retirement tease, UFC boss Dana White revealed his return is set for next year.

White told the Daily Mail: “Conor will be back in the Octagon in the summer of 2025.

“Trust me, it’ll be worth the wait. I was actually just watching Conor on Instagram while driving here.

“He’s out hitting the MIT right now off the side of his boat, and there’s tons of people standing around watching.

“So, yes, obviously it will be very fun for everyone when Conor comes back.”
