An unemployed underachiever named Walt (Shameik Moore) finds a sudden flair for bowling. Skunk (D’Arcy Carden), a barfly, encourages him to pursue a professional career in order to prevent the local bowling alley from going into foreclosure. To the dismay of famous champion Linda “The Crusher” Curson (Susan Sarandon), Walt emerges as an unlikely bowling hero thanks to his strong rolling abilities and unorthodox approach.
