Of all the glut of remakes hitting the big screen, one is eagerly awaited.
And it seems the new Rocky spinoff will take heavy inspiration from the earlier movies – with shots showing the actors recreating an iconic scene on Monday.
Sylvester Stallone, back in the title role as Rocky Balboa, put his co-star Michael B. Jordan through the paces in a chicken coop during the filming of Creed in Philadelphia.

As fans will immediately recognise, Rocky’s trainer Mickey [played by Burgess Meredith] had the boxer chase chickens in Rocky II to prepare for his rematch with world champion Apollo.
The 68-year-old actor is reprising his famous role for the spin-off featuring 28-year-old Jordan as boxer Adonis Johnson Creed.

Jordan was decked out in workout gear including a black hoodie, black vest, black gloves, grey sweatpants and red Nike trainers.
Stallone wore a black slightly flattened fedora, dark blue coat, black trousers and work boots.

He carried a stopwatch as the pair filmed a scene with several chickens.
Creed is being directed by Ryan Coogler who also directed Jordan in the 2013 drama Fruitvale Station that was received with critical acclaim.
The film is the seventh movie featuring the Balboa character.

Jordan previously had starring roles on television as a high school quarterback in Friday Night Lights and a teenage drug dealer on HBO’s The Wire.
Tessa Thompson, Phylicia Rashad, Tony Bellew, and Graham McTavish also have been cast in the spin-off.
Creed is scheduled for release on November 25, 2015 in the US.
