Meghan Markle has reportedly made a bold move when it comes to appointing the CEO of her upcoming lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard.
According to Richard Eden from The Daily Mail, the Duchess of Sus𝑠e𝑥, 43, has now ended the search for a CEO by appointing herself.
The decision to reportedly hire herself for the position comes after the mum-of-two spent months searching for a CEO with no success.
This struggle came at the same time as her lifestyle brand, which she first announced in March, faced other challenges relating to the trademark application and paperwork.
The Mirror reported that these issues have since all been resolved.
It was also reported in the Daily Mail on Tuesday that ahead of the official brand products launching, which is expected in the coming months, Meghan has been in negotiations with Netflix about the US streaming giant entering into a commercial partnership with American Riviera Orchard.
According to outle, a source said: “This is something new for Netflix. It would run the lifestyle business with Meghan, developing products as spin-offs from her show.
“If a partnership is agreed, it’s likely that Netflix would install its own CEO to run operations.”
While Meghan has not been seen publicly as much as usual over the last few months, a source close to the Duchess of Sus𝑠e𝑥 said she is working hard on her lifestyle brand behind the scenes, ready for a big comeback next year.
They told Page Six: “As far as Meghan being quiet, she’s been in the background working on her entrepreneurial efforts. Both the Netflix project and her brand will come out within the same timeline in the New Year.
“It’s going to be a good year for Meghan specifically, she’s spent the majority of the year doing work behind the scenes to launch a project in the first few months of 2025.”
According to various reports, the brand is expected to sell a range of homemade goods including james, spreads and kitchen ware.
