Cody Rhodes challenges Chad Gable on the way to Saturday Night’s Main Event

Cody Rhodes comes out to open the event, and talks about WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, an event where he’ll meet Kevin Owens. However, he can’t continue talking because AMERICAN MADE interrupts. Chad Gable, the best wrestler to ever come out of Minnesota, says he’s here because of Nick Aldis, as a transfer window is about to open and the SmackDown General Manager would be interested in having the best technical wrestler in the world on the blue brand. Gable gets into the crowd on his way to the ring, which is met with loud boos.

Chad Gable mentions that being a worker and dressing like a champion is easy, he can do it. What isn’t easy is being a good friend, which Cody Rhodes can’t do because of what he did to Kevin Owens. The same is true for Otis , a terrible friend. “I’ve learned that you are not who you say you are. You’re too shallow. You’re everything everyone else asks you to be. You’ve gotten to the point where you’re teaming with the person who’s made Kevin Owens’ life a living hell, and you deserve everything that comes your way ,” Gable says. “The American Nightmare” responds that he’s disappointed to hear Gable spouting all this venom. This is because Chad Gable has powered up incredibly, since he went from Shorty G to what he is now.

« I know you’re looking for respect, I know what you’re going through, you think you have nothing to lose. But what happens if you fail again? You’re supposed to be a leader for this group, and if you fail, then you take it out on Brutus, Julius & Ivy Nile? » Cody Rhodes continues to comment . Chad Gable interrupts, annoyed because he doesn’t consider him that bad and assures that he could kick the current Undisputed WWE Champion’s ass. Well, since he’s here, Cody Rhodes asks Chad Gable to march with Nick Aldis to request a one-on-one between the two for tonight. « And Chad, I have Kevin Owens on my mind, and that’s not good for you » Cody Rhodes sentences and ends up throwing the microphone at Chad Gable.
