Following the critical and commercial success of Prey, 20th Century Studios has officially announced a sequel, Prey 2, with Amber Midthunder reprising her role as Naru. Directed once again by Dan Trachtenberg, the film promises to delve deeper into the Predator universe while continuing Naru’s gripping story of survival and resilience.
Prey 2 picks up years after the events of the first film, where Naru became a legend among her Comanche tribe. This time, the story ventures beyond the Great Plains, as Naru and her people are drawn into an escalating conflict with new Predator threats. The sequel is set in the 18th century, expanding the Predator mythology while introducing fresh challenges, including encounters with European settlers and their advanced weaponry.
“This film will show how the Predator’s presence begins to reshape not only Naru’s world but the world at large,” Trachtenberg explained. “It’s a story about adaptation, survival, and how humanity’s resilience can rival even the most formidable of foes.”
