The ideal model for his enigmatic Avengers: Doomsday role would be Chris Evans’ finest post-Endgame figure. Evans, best known for his time in the MCU as Steve Rogers, stepped down as Captain America at the conclusion of 2019’s Endgame. But last year, it was announced that he would surprise everyone by returning to the MCU in an unspecified role in Avengers: Doomsday. Evans’ exact role has been the subject of fan speculation, and the Multiverse Saga presents a number of possibilities.

Considering that the MCU’s new Captain America has been established as Sam Wilson, it’s highly unlikely that Evans’ Doomsday role will be a continuation of his previous legacy.
