Chandler hinted that he has left his training camp in Florida to head back home with the fight just weeks away.

Speculation intensified this week when a press conference in Dublin was cancelled just hours before it was due to take place.

McGregor said it was postponed just to factors outside of their control.

It has been speculated that the Irishman has suffered an injury in training camp.

The 35-year-old seemingly made light of those rumours with his latest Instagram post.

He posted a picture of himself on a treatment table, but with a huge smile on his face.

McGregor, nor the UFC, have come out and specifically denied the rumours and said the fight is going ahead.

The UFC is believed to have been sounding out possible replacements, with Alexander Volkanovski having already offered himself.

McGregor seemingly leaned into the rumours of his injury

McGregor has not fought in the UFC in nearly three years since a gruesome injury against Dustin Poirier that saw him fracture his fibula and tibia.

Journalist Ariel Helwani did report that there is optimism still that the fight will go ahead.

He wrote on X: “I’m quite literally the only one giving updates. Y’all know everything I know. And that is that everyone is proceeding as if the fight is on. As of right now, the fight is on. Positivity. Optimism. 24 days away. Let’s go.”
